I'm not sure we can justify a week 17 Championship game anymore. I like it because it gives us something to do while everyone else is done with the season but at the same time if a title contending team can't start their #1 RB and #1 WR because they aren't playing due to the fact that their real NFL teams have nothing to play for in that final week, then we have to ask ourselves if each team is truly getting to represent themselves based on how they got there. It seems like week 17 is a guessing game of who will play.
Thoughts?

Ack... yeah, I don't know if y'all could institute it starting this season but yeah I would be in full support of a Week 16 championship.

I could get on board with week 16 championship starting this year if we wanted.

Yeah if there are no objections to instituting a rule change at this point, I would be in favor of moving championship to Week 16.

I agree. You don't want the championship game being decided by back ups.
There is still a chance that teams are benching players week 16 (such as the Patriots), but it's less likely than week 17.

One fun thing that we could employ is those that want to enter a lineup for Week 17 can do so, toss $10 into the hat and winner-take-all for high score. Knowing full well that there'd be a lot of backups involved. This could run outside of the main pot and open to those who want to, not required.
