As someone who has struggled to find even two reliable wide receivers I think Nate parted with Boldin too easily. He should have held out for a #1 pick to make it worth it.

The problem with Boldin is he's got a great name, but he's outside the top 25 two years running for our WR scoring and he's got a bloated contract. If he had a 50 dollar 4 year deal, it's worth a 1st pick, with 187 for 4 years, there's a 50% chance I end up cutting Boldin in the offseason to try to renegotiate his deal. I had to look at it as a rental, thus the 2 2nd round picks for the value.

To me it just doesn't make sense to trade away 17 touchdowns for 3 seconds and a third. When in all likelihood 2 of the 3 seconds are or will be in the 8-12 range. Then pick a tight end who if he has a GREAT year scores 4 touchdowns but likely gets much less.
I could see it if he was cashed strapped, the Herders aren't and weren't.
Boldin might be overpriced and out of the top whatever in WR scoring but I will all but guarantee that Lance Kendricks will be out of the 40 in TE scoring and the type of player you'll get at 2.07 and up will not be expected to produce or even start.
Of course Nate probably has some 8 level plan to grab all the top IDP players in the rookie DRAFT next year. Yes there's always that Legarrett Blount in the third round but it's unlikely and to risky.
Bottom line, the Nerf Herders shepherded away 17 touchdowns and Mike Wallace bonus points for TS depth and bargain basement back-ups.
Their investors will be happy with the payroll but the fans will be rioting for years.

My only comment on the Wallace trade was that I wish I had him instead of Boldin.

One other thing I'll say around 2nd round picks...in general I love them and they can turn out quite good.
Last year I had four: Rob Gronkowski Mike Williams TBB Jimmy Graham Toby Gerhart
All panned out all valuable trade chips or starting players, well maybe not Gerhart, but I got Starks in the third and he ended up a trading chip. This year could be no different if they are spent effectively.

It's true, the Mike Wallace trade I made with PM was the worst trade I've ever made in the history of my fantasy football time. I didn't take the time to read or think about it, i just pulled the trigger, as is often the case, I was caught up in the moment of buy, sell, trade, more picks!!!! However, it's over and done with, and bitching about it won't make it any better. Gotta move on.

Menace appreciates SLNH trade of Mike Wallace. I noticed he was collecting draft picks for rookie players. I made an offer to 3 teams trying to get a #1 WR. Some of those offers included the 2 draft picks plus a player. The one for SLNH only included the 2 picks. I got Cam and was just not interested in any of the rookies that were available in the second and third round. So I offered my 2 pick for active players.
As always I appreciate doing business with anyone in the league.
Menace!
