We had an owner that said he sent me some blind bids, about four I think. I never received them, he forwarded me the email of sent bids. It was sent to the wrong email, one of mine but not the blind bidding email.
If I had received them in the wrong inbox I would have simply forwarded them to the correct email, I have before. But I didn't get them.
One player he wouldn't have won, two he can still get, but the 4th he would have won and of course it involves me. So where does that leave us?
Even though the owner really isn't making a fuss, he very well might, and rightfully so for a better player. So what's our policy?
To me this falls clearly into the policy I have for starting line-ups and this is in the rules already, 12.1 and 12.2. I'll paraphrase, Requests must be received and executed for them to count. ...and the league is not responsible for lost emails
I have the blind bid account set-up to automatically respond to you asking if you did that bid correctly. If you don't receive this automated response something could be up.
Also make sure you are sending bids to the proper email for best results.
Third, you can ask me to check I have received your bid. I won't look at the message but I can see you sent it.
This is the first issue like this I am aware of, so there's no need to freak out and change the system.
The bids that were announced will remain in place and no changes will be made. I just want everyone to know it happened and take the appropriate steps to protect your team's interests.
Any questions please ask.
