The 2011 version is open with salary increases and term decreases.
Make sure you're looking at the correct site when planning strategy.

So does free agent bidding start tomorrow? It looks like it does in the constitution, but I just wanted to make sure. Been paying so much attention to the draft that I forgot to look at the free agents.

scheduled to but with the IDP still up in the air I need to think about excluding team d for now. I'll have something tomorrow about it. Maybe tonight...

For whatever it's worth steve, regardless of which vote passes I think the fairest thing to all teams would b to introduce idp's in 2012, as many teams as far as FA's, draft stragety, and monies and years invested in def's had/had the potential to b altered.

If option 2 wins than it'd be fairer to start in 2012 because teams that have money wrapped up in team defenses were not able to use it in RFA bidding. Some teams have as little as $4 invested in team Def, while others have over $40. If option 2 passes and team Def is eliminated than teams that had more money invested in defenses were more limited in their bidding ability than teams that did not. I think that's why the commish is waiting to start free agency until the voting is done, so if team def is eliminated that money will be freed up and available for free agent bidding.
If option 1 or 3 passes than it's not an issue.
That being said, as long as it is decided before free agency starts I don't think we need to wait until 2012. I just don't want to find out after free agency is over that team defense is being eliminated because than teams that did not have money invested in defenses would have a monetary bidding advantage over those of us that do. The $60 I have invested in the Steelers will definitely be used in free agency if team def is eliminated for this season.

I see your point. $60 is a lot of cap room considering how tight things are in this league.
It doesn't matter to me either way. I voted for option 2, but I'm not going to be upset however the vote goes, whether it be no IDP, team defense with IDP, or just IDP.

Yeah, I voted for option 3 I prefer that. But I'm cool either way. I just don't want to screw teams like myself who've invested in team DEF. I'd also like the 3 missing owners to show up and take part. And I want to get going, there be free agents to bid on.

RFA's are not done on 2011 site yet are they? I still show I own Brandon Tate, I don't show I own Mike Thomas with new salary
