While Cam Newton is no doubt the 2011 rookie of the year and most valuable fantasy player drafted in 2011, a few other valuable rookies have emerged or disappointed.
RB's (R)
DeMarco Murray - This rookie is currently the #22 rookie RB in fantasy points while not getting the starting job until Week 6. He was drafted in the first round at the #12 spot. It could turn back into a RBC once Felix Jones returns.
Roy Helu - The #47 RB in fantasy points has only had the unofficial starting gig since Week 9, but has been fantasy productive so far.
Kendall Hunter - This rookie is the #41 RB in fantasy point, taking a backseat to Frank Gore all season, but when he has enough carries, he's done reasonably well for the fifth pick in the second round.
Disappointing RB's (R)
Mark Ingram - #33 ranked RB in fantasy points after Week 9, injuries have slowed him down, but the bigger downside is that it's a true RBC in New Orleans and Darren Sproles has been the most productive RB in that system. Considering the high pick spent at #4, he's been a letdown so far.
Daniel Thomas - This rookie is the #42 RB in fantasy points and was expected to be the primary ballcarrier, but injuries have slowed him down all season. Although he has shown flashes, Reggie Bush looks like the back to own in Miami for this season, which has to be disappointing considering the #2 draft spot spent on Thomas.
Delone Carter - This rookie is the #40 RB in fantasy points and has had a couple of good games, but mostly his starts have been lackluster as his the entire Colts team. Considering all the preseason hype, Carter's performance has been a letdown for the second pick in the second round.
WR's (R)
AJ Green - As advertised, this guy has delivered and is the league's #10 WR in fantasy points and has been pretty consistent. It's still shocking that he wasn't drafted until spot #6.
Denarius Moore - Undrafted in RADL, he did not last on the waiver wire long. Moore is currently the #12 WR in fantasy points.
Torrey Smith - The first pick in the 2nd round of the RADL rookie draft, Smith took over Lee Evans starting spot in Week 3 and hasn't looked back. Smith is the 20th WR in fantasy points after Week 9.
Julio Jones - Currently, Jones is the #22 WR in fantasy points and has taken a backseat to Roddy White early on, but he is now just starting to come into his own, but still inconsistencies are to be expected. Jones was #3 pick in the first round.
Disappointing WR's (R)
Jonathan Baldwin - This rookie has not had many opportunities to play, but he did have one big game and so far that's it. It appears to be more of a symptom of the inconsistent Chiefs offense moreso than Baldwin himself, who was the number 7 pick in the first round.
Greg Little - This rookie has done little except drop a lot of passes. He's still going through rookie pains and the the pain of Colt McCoy being his QB. Little was the 8th pick in the first round.
Titus Young - He's the #74 WR in fantasy points and has just started to emerge as a threat, but Nate Burleson is still around, so he was probably overdrafted as the #10 pick in the first round.
