Current:
2.3 Vested Veteran: Any NFL player with 4 or more years of NFL experience. Players are credited with the upcoming season as a year of service.
Idea: Do NOT credit them with upcoming year. This has ramifications with several other items. Look into it.

I don't understand what difference this change would make. Please elaborate.

I'm for keeping the rule the way it is.

It would make some first round picks and later round picks for that matter (they get assigned 3 year deals) rfa instead of ufa's when their contracts were up. Other instances I've haven't thought of yet.
Obviously it would have a baring on current players and their ability to be extended or franchised.
This is just a helpful place to publicly store some random thoughts and league ideas I have. Perhaps even before I have thought them out myself. So take it in that vein.

I withdraw this. MFL counts upcoming years as a year of experience on the player's homepage. I have no interest in going against how they clearly and easily track player experience.
