I vote, "No." Increasing the vet minimum would cause weekly transactions to decrease. The costs of these transactions are paid for by real money paid out of owners' pockets now, which helps pay the MFL league fee and if anything is left over sweetens the overall prize pot for the winners.

Agreed. But I am torn. The transactions pay for the league, but there isn't, in my opinion, sufficient punishment for rolling through and cutting these week to week free agents.
I use punishment loosely and I like the income for the league. But the cap hit of a $1 for most of these guys is getting off lightly.

The punishment is we use real money to pay for each transaction.

Perhaps the word I needed was strategy. There's no strategy. Just sign everyone you want and if they suck...cut them.

One solution could be handled with contracts. If you cut someone with a 1-2 year contract, then 1-year of that contract should count against your cap for that season. 3 or more years would have to either count more for that season or be stretched over to count against you the next season. Eventually, you will run out of contract cap space if you keep rotating players in and out each week.
If we were to implement that type of solution, then we will see a lot less transactions. It's also a bit of an administrative nightmare as MFL is not going to maintain these penalties, which is why in the dynasties that Flesh Sabers and I play in, we have roster commissioners to split the duties of keeping track of contracts.

Another option is say a scale. Either by per player or position.
1-5 add/drops $1, 2-10 $2, 11-15 $20.
Or per position. Your 1st 10 WR add/drops are $1, 11-20 $2. Just spitballing here, nothing has come up that i'm really sold on.

You guys don't need to offer solutions unless you agree there's an issue. I just feel most teams have 200 and up to 500 in cap room so where's the challenge. I like to spend my money and I have 150+ in cap room.

I really hate this Board. I'm never aware when things are going on. Don't have a problem with how it is now. Not sure what the impact would be if it went up to $5. But overall seems like there would be fewer transactions. I would leave the Vet Minimum at $2.00

Alright fellas pack it in, French showed up.
Fair enough if you like it and I don't see a problem with it per se. But I also think this league should be special and challenging. Not to the point the fun is gone because you can't keep players you like. But a challenge where you really need to decide, hey do I really need this guy?
Now it's just sign everyone you want and if it doesn't work out, cut them. That's fine, but also boring.
I know there's a little tweak that would fix the problem as I see it.
