Don't look now, but it looks like the two QB's drafted by the Flesh Sabers in the second round: Ryan Tannehill (2.10) and Brandon Weeden (2.12) pale in comparison to the Jedi Pugs' genius 5th round pick of Russell Wilson (5.08).
"Don't be too hard on the Sabers," says GM ElectricRelish. "Russell was the QB at NC State and played in the ACC for three years, so our scouting dept was very well aware of what this kid could do," said ElectricRelish.
To top off the Pugs' exciting week, it looks like the 2012 free agent acquisition of Redskins RB Alfred Morris may pay dividends sooner than later after the young RB rushed for 107 yards on 14 carries along with a TD in the third preseason game against the Colts. "Our scouting dept is top notch," said ElectricRelish. "We have vast knowledge of training camp players in our backyard and even some of those in Redskins" country, so nothing really gets by us."
The 2012 preseason so far has been a good one for the Pugs. More time will be required to see if the Flesh Sabers offseason moves will yield fruit.
