There is some rather convoluted language about off season suspensions and when they officially begin in our constitution. The language is taken from a keeper league I run and is designed around the keeper due date, the draft, and the start of the regular season. It doesn't fit this league well.
MFL indicates with a "S" when a player is suspended. I'm going to accept requests for "Non-injured reserve" as soon as that magic "S" appears.
Same as we do for the magic "I" when we're waiting for injured reserve status to kick in at times.
Much more simple and clean. When and only when your suspended player gets his "S" you can submit a request for NIR, it will get approved and you can drop him. The only part I'm really approving is your intention to keep him or not. When you see the "S" you're good to drop but I do need to know your intent.
He'll be saved, and automatically added back to your team when eligible under current rules.
I believe there are currently 3 suspended players including one on my team.
