My internet at home has been out about a day but I was wondering about Adrian Peterson and the designation of Commissioner (Goodell, not me) Exemption list. I had planned to post here about how he wouldn't be able to go onto the Non Injured Reserve list we have because I thought it wasn't, or might not be a true suspension.
I had planned to remind folks of the magic "S" that shows up when a player is suspended. Furthermore, if it did show up for these players we would defer to MFL. Just as I will defer to CBS in those leagues I run.
As it turns out, when I saw Greg Hardy moved to IR/S reserve email on my phone, I guessed he was indeed assigned the magic "S". MFL being a bit rough to view on a phone.
So where are we?
MFL considers these players suspended for now and has assigned the "S". Should they update or reverse that policy we will abide by that as well. For now though, any player with the "S" is eligible for our NIR list.
We are however, only allowed one player on NIR or Reserve Retired at a time.
My team for example has Daryl Washington on NIR so if I choose to move Adrian Peterson to NIR Washington would need to go on my active roster or be waived.
The Maulers have a similar situation with Justin Blackmon already on NIR and just placing Greg Hardy there. Only one allowed.
Deferring to MFL is not new. For example with player positions DT vs DE or LB. Whatever they decide is what we adhere to.
I welcome any comments. I personally think this isn't a suspension proper, but I have no knowledge to support that. So MFL decides...

I think the easiest thing to do is just follow MFLs designation
