I have a question about how the total salary of a team is calculated. I cut and pasted my roster into a spreadsheet. I found that the total salary of the 36 players on my active roster is $1887. I also have $85 in salary adjustment, which brings it to $1972. The website, however, indicates that my total salary is $1991. Why is that?

I'll check. Likely because salaries listed are rounded down. Perhaps program still adds up the cents.

Ok I believe I have an answer not knowing how you counted Blackmon.
The cents on all your salaries adds up to about $6 and the 10% Blackmon on IR/(S) is $13. That's $19 I believe the discrep in your original question.
I'm 95% sure that is the issue.
I used to go through all the players and delete the cents and round down. That was tedious and I stopped, especially given many teams are hundreds of dollars under the cap. I will however by request do this.
and
Technically suspended players are 0% cap hit but our IR is 10% and I mentioned somewhere I'd manually lower a suspended player's salary to $1 if a cap tight team requested it. Giving them more freedom.
