After making six consecutive postseason appearances from 2009-2014, the defending champion Jedi Pugs failed to reach the playoffs of the first time in 2015. Let's break down their season by three categories, wins and losses, total points, and points against. While it may seem that the once mighty Pugs have finally fallen to mediocrity, a closer look reveals a different picture. 2015 Jedi Pugs - Wins and Losses: 4-10
- Total points: 1202 pts - Third highest scoring team in the league. #1. Ewok-N-Roll 1367 pts; #2 Deadwood Deathstar 1280 pts
- Points Against: 1226 points - talk about BAD LUCK!!!
The Pugs had a good enough squad in 2015 to produce the third highest total score of the season, but the schedule was unfavorable as they had the most points against them in the league. In fact, My Fantasy League's Alternate Power Rank has the Pugs ranked as the 4th best team in the league. The Pugs never fully recovered from the loss of Arian Foster in the offseason and to the injury of Jamaal Charles. Plus, LeSean McCoy was out for several weeks on injury. The WR2 also proved to be a weak spot for the team. Next season, the Pugs get the services of Josh Gordon back. Missing the playoffs may be a blessing this year, as the Pugs will now get high picks in the 2016 rookie draft including their own and others traded for. Best of luck to the six finalists in the 2015 Championship Round. The Jedi Pugs will attempt to follow last year's championship with their first ever Jar Jar Jenks Bowl. May the force be with you and happy holidays!
