Currently teams losing RFA to high bidding other owners receive no draft pick compensation.
Teams losing franchise-tagged players do receive compensation.
I propose we include compensation of picks to RFA bidding.

I agree with this. I'm not sure how to manage compensation because I think franchise tag players should be given higher compensation than an RFA player, but RFA should get some compensation.

Disagree. Rfas are waiver pickups or late round draft picks so this would reward speculation and activity rather than draft capital, and draft capital is what creates league balance/parity. Instead, why not eradicate the rfa concept and make all draft picks at least 4 years and all waiver pickups as many yrs as will get to vesting? This would increase the cost of carrying speculative players which would reinforce the value of the taxi squad and dissuade stockpiling on the active roster and thus allow for more players on the waiver wire for the rest of the league.

How about you can tender a RFA at tier 2 level and they remain yours and have another tier, maybe 50% TIER 2 where you can match highest bid. if you don't tender they just go to highest bidder.

If others want to move forward with it, it's not a big deal, but I like the rules in place today. Gives me more incentive to bid on a RFA.

Conferring franchise rights is a right reserved for vested players. Not sure how to square the two concepts but if rfas can be part of franchising not a big deal. Would help teams retain more talent.

If There was draft compensation for T. Hill I might not have matched that high contract. Yes I had him for 3 years for almost nothing but had I gotten a 1st pick for him I might not have matched
