I need your help if you a math guy.
Recapping: previously, owners were allowed to trade salary cap money in a permanent swap. We have since changed the rule and do not allow it anymore.
I want to normalize all the team caps so they are the same.
The following teams are other than normal
Deadwood +144 (5.1%) Alderaan +24 (.85%) Nerf Herders -138 (4.9%) Let The Wookie Win (Pugs) -27 (.9%) Menace -7 (.2%)
One team was $1 below, I have just made them whole without any adjustments.
The teams that gave up cap received capital and teams that received cap money gave up something to get that money. So I am not just going to normalize everyone without adjustments.
Is it mathematically correct that if Deadwood, who is approximately 5.1% over the standard cap $2980 vs. $2836 +144 that if we decrease every player on his team, once the team is finalized in the summer by 5.1% they would be a zero-sum outcome?
Conversely, the Pugs, at .9% under the normal cap if given that $27 to bring their cap to $2836 should have each player's salary increased by .9%?
Is this the correct way to look at this?
We can't allow owners to simply increase one salary by the full amount and then cut that player.
Help me out nerds. What's the math way?

I'm brain dead now, but I'd agree to this.
