What a streaky year this has been, it seems as like every team is either adding to a five plus game winning streak or muddling through a fifth consecutive loss. Certainly some teams have struggled but there isn’t that 1-12 or 2-11 team. The teams that aren’t really contending have actually done damage outside of their division.
The Darth Lords for example are 0-5 in their division, meaning they’ve gone 4-3 against the rest of the Alliance.
Speaking of Zero Darth Thirty, the two Darth related teams went 0-10 in their division and 7-19 overall. Jessica Chastain just died a little inside.
Speaking of dying, picture if you will a peaceful world of pastel nature and welcoming arms, open minds and caring hearts, a world of champions, revealing in the sun of victory. Then picture that inside the middle of the Sun, inside a super nova, inside a million atomic bombs, wrapped in foil and put into the biggest microwave in the galaxy, under a snuggy with the heat turned up in the house a couple degrees warmer than normal.
There you have the Alderaan Avengers current season in relation to 2012. Total global event. Like the ending of the Sopranos, something was happening and then it just ended. As if a million voices cried out for more ziti. Carm!!!
Five weeks ago the Parjai Squad was 4-4 and have since lost five straight. I don’t know what happened but maybe don’t do it again. I just looked, Julio Jones gets hurt and makes Matt Ryan awful and Trent Richardson is just awful.
Also awful but for less clear reason are the Menace, they have some healthy talent and young potential stars. In the Hoth Division it won’t take a lot to turn it around.
I didn’t really want this to be a review article but a “who needs what” playoff preview and so it shall. My thought is if you don’t have something nice to say, point out why.
The unofficial look at what’s up. Engage. Whoops wrong universe.
Deadwood, by beating the Pugs, that sounds bad as an animal lover. Deadwood, by raping the Jedi...much better, secures home field advantage throughout the playoffs, a bye, and a stress free week fourteen. They had already sheathed the Flesh Sabers weeks earlier.
In an Ed Harris breathing Pepto, sinking to the bottom of the trench, Abyss like amount of pressure game, Ewok tries to laser razor the Scruffy out of the Nerf Herders. The winner gets the Hoth Division and the loser gets two Hoth Divisions...I kid. Lose and you go home.
Big game.
Meanwhile, down in Dagobah, where it bubbles all the time like a giant carbonated soda, S. O. D. A soda. We have another game for the division crown, albeit with a tad more gravitas. The Pugs visit the Sabers and the winner gets a title and a bye. The loser gets to risk defeat to some shamble of a team in the wildcard round.
No matter the winner, the loser will be the number one wildcard team as both have beaten Cad Bane and will host a playoff game.
Cad Bane is locked in as the second wildcard having swept Yoda and only tie they can.
Yoda, win or lose against the Darth Maulers, is the 6th seed.
Not really much drama in the final week except the Ewok vs Nerf Herder tilt (ding) dating back (ding) to week 8 the Ewok team defeated the SLNH in a shootout 118 to 96.
Avoiding that extra game is huge for Jedi vs Flesh but both are indeed in the dance already.
1. Deadwood (BYE HFA)
2. Winner Flesh vs Pugs (BYE)
3. Winner SLNH vs Ewok
4. Loser Flesh vs Pugs
5. Cad Bane
6. Yoda
