I disabled owner dropping of players because it makes it easier to slow them down and track "Tax Free" moves. Owners are restricted from dropping players during bidding periods for certain reasons and Friday the 11th begins a bidding period.
Basically I can't have owners dropping players that are franchised or otherwise being bid on. Accidentally or strategically.
However, if there is a vested veteran you DID NOT franchise already, meaning you have no claim to them, you can ask me to drop them to get a better handle what your cap and roster looks like.
A reminder that there are no salary, term, or roster amount limits until July 15th.

What happens if I bid on a franchise player that would cost a 4th round pick and I don't have a 4th round pick? Do you take my 3rd rounder instead?

What happens if I bid on a franchise player that would cost a 4th round pick and I don't have a 4th round pick? Do you take my 3rd rounder instead? What happened last year was the next lower pick. (worse) You can offer a better one by choice to facilitate them not matching. We will need some better way. I was kinda thinking of a supplemental pick like a 4.13 and then that team without the pick who bid would lose their 4th in the following year. Assuming I can add picks during the draft. Staying consistent, you are required to offer a 5th in this example but you can certainly offer more to entice. There was a brief discussion from last year link
