3.2 April 1st - 14th: Tax Free Week and Trading Opens
a. Teams may cut some players without incurring a cap hit, limits apply. Teams may cut more than two players this week and the two highest salaried players will automatically be considered the exempt player(s) without other instructions.
b. Any player waived outside this period results in at least a 25% hit for the remainder of their contract.
c. Teams are limited to two tax free waivers.
d. Tax free waivers do not accrue in subsequent years if unused.
e. Players in the first 2 years of a contract extension can be cut but not tax free.
3.3 April 1st - 14th: Contract Extensions
a. Vested NFL players, in the last year of their RADL contract as of March 1st, may be signed to contract extensions by their current RADL team.
b. The premium for this is a 25% increase over their current cap figure.
c. The minimum term of an extension is 4 years but can be up to 6 years.
d. The extension voids the final year of the current contract and the clock starts on the new contract with the associated cap increase.
e. Any player not extended simply plays out their final year of their contract and becomes an unrestricted free agent the following March 1st. Unless they are franchise tagged.
f. 25/15/25 Rule applies to extensions. Meaning, any player making $25 or less, if in the top 15 scoring at their position the previous year, must make the average of the top 25 players in scoring at their position.
g. Players receiving an extension while on Taxi Squad are no longer eligible for TS.
3.4 April 1st - 14th: Franchise Tags
a. Vested veterans on RADL rosters with an expired contract may be franchised now.
b. Teams are limited to 3 franchise players per year.
c. Owners may choose from 3 franchise tags. Tier 1, 2, and 3. Up to 3 per season, one each.
d. Owners simply announce to the commissioner they wish to franchise a player or players and which tier they’re applying. The league confirms the player is eligible and applies and announces the tag.

Tier 1:
•You assign a player a 50% salary bump for one year.
•Other owners can bid on them, minimum 10% raise minimum 4 years.
•If the highest bid IS NOT matched draft pick compensation is given. *
•If the highest bid IS matched by current team they must match the term of the highest bid.
•If there is no bid on the franchised player he MUST become an UFA the following year.
Tier 2:
•You assign the average of the top 10 salaries for the leading scorers at that position from previous year. (This number is provided for each position)
•Other owners may bid on them, minimum 10% raise minimum 4 years.
•If the bid IS NOT matched draft pick compensation is given. *
•If the bid IS matched by current team they must assign a term of 4-6 years.
•If no other teams bid on this player you may assign him a 3 year contract.
•25% Minimum bump (Some players currently make more than that avg.)
Tier 3:
•You assign the player the average of the top 10 players at the same position by salary only. (This number is provided for each position)
•For this generous market raise you get to assign a long term deal AND no other teams can bid on them.
•This number will be provided for all positions.
•35% minimum bump. (Some players currently make more than that avg.)
